- Two Lost Worlds was hyped as a giant monster movie, but the only "monsters" are actually just dinosaurs. They do not appear until fifty-eight minutes into the movie.
- Along with the jungle adventure film Bowanga Bowanga, this is the final film work for director Norman Dawn.
- Writer/producer Boris Petroff will go on to direct the 1957 sci-fi/horror film, The Unearthly.
- Actor James Arness, best known for his work in the Western genre, also appeared in notable sci-fi classics such as The Thing from Another World and Them!.
- Gloria Petroff, who plays Janice Jeffries in this film, is the daughter of writer/producer Boris Petroff.
