Twitch was a resident of Manhattan, New York City, and was known to frequent, or perhaps even live in the Lower East Side. He was an informant for Nick Katzenberg, who was a photographer for the Daily Bugle. Nick met with Twitch one evening and handed him a wad of money in exchange for a hot tip. Twitch remarked about how this tip was not as good as his last one, but unfortunately Nick had gotten scooped on the story. Katzenberg was surprised to hear this until Twitch handed him a copy of the Daily Bugle which showed a photograph that Nick took a criminal figure, but with Peter Parker's by-line on it.
