"The Mirror" is the sixth episode of season three of the American science fiction television series The Twilight Zone, and the seventy-first episode of the series overall. The episode was directed by Don Medford with a teleplay written by Rod Serling. It first aired on CBS on Friday, October 20th, 1961.

Plot[]

A Central American revolutionary named Ramos Clemente and his men overthrow the rule of General De Cruz. Clemente has De Cruz prisoner and plans on an elaborate public execution. Before such things can commence however, Clemente takes note of a mirror in the General's office. Staring into the mirror reveals those who seek to assassinate Clemente - all of whom are actually his closest allies. The images in the mirror breed anxiety and paranoia and Clemente takes action against his own men.
