Tru Calling is a live-action episodic/serial drama series of the paranormal investigation subgenre of science fiction. It ran for two (incomplete) seasons on the Fox Television Network and spanned a total of twenty-six episodes.
Season One of Tru Calling aired on Thursday evenings at 8:00pm EST from October 30th, 2003 to April 29th, 2004, totaling twenty episodes. The series was produced by Original Film and Oh That Gus!, Inc. for 20th Century Fox Television. Season one starred Eliza Dushku, Shawn Reaves, Zach Galifianakis, A.J. Cook, Jessica Collins, Benjamin Benitez, Matthew Bomer and Jason Priestley.
Season Two aired for only six episodes from March 31st to April 21st, 2005. It aired on Thursday evenings at 8:00 pm EST. The only returning cast members to the show are Eliza Dushku, Shawn Reaves, Zach Galifianakis and Jason Priestley. Series regulars A.J. Cook, Jessica Collins, Benjamin Benitez and Matt Bomer left the show at different points throughout season one. A returning guest star in season two was Cotter Smith, reprising his role as Richard Davies - father to Tru and Harrison.
FOX cancelled Tru Calling without airing it's final episode, 'Twas the Night Before Christmas... Again. The episode was eventually aired later in the year on the Sci-Fi Channel on November 5th, 2005.
