"Where Lurks the Chimera!!" is the twenty-sixth issue of the first Tomb of Dracula ongoing comic book series published by Marvel Comics. It was written by Marv Wolfman with artwork by Gene Colan and inks by Tom Palmer. It was lettered by John Costanza and colored by Tom Palmer. The story was edited by Roy Thomas. This issue shipped with a November, 1974 cover date and carries a cover price of .25 cents per copy.
Dracula was created by Irish author Bram Stoker. He is the titular antagonist of Stoker's 1897 novel Dracula, which was inspired by an actual Wallachian nobleman known as Vlad II, aka Vlad the Impaler.
This issue carries the approval stamp of the Comics Code Authority.
This issue is cover code number 02143.
The tagline to this issue is "You'll gasp when you see the soul-searing SHOCK ENDING of this tale of terror!"
The quote that opens this issue is from Proverbs: 17/8, "A gift works like a talisman for him who gives it: he prospers whichever way he turns".
This is the first appearance of Chastity Jones. She appears next in Tomb of Dracula #27.
Reference is made to the 1950s crime drama series The Naked City. The show its known for its narrative intro, "There are eight million stories in the naked city. This has been one of them".

Doctor Sun makes a behind-the-scenes appearance only. He is the voice goading Dracula as he walks into his trap.
