Tohno is a fictional Jedi and a one-time supporting character featured in the Star Wars multimedia franchise. She made a single appearance in Star Wars: Republic #67 in July, 2004.
Biography[]
Tohno was a young humanoid female and a member of the Order of the Jedi who had achieved the rank of Jedi Master. She became a master at a rather youthful age and was a contemporary of Anakin Skywalker, who was still only a Jedi Knight. Tohno had an acute knowledge of architecture, which she developed as a padawan, which made her an ideal choice for a special mission to the planet Zaadja in 22 BBY.
Master Tohno accompanied Anakin Skywalker and Obi-Wan Kenobi to Zaadja in order to destroy a weapons facility that had been developed by the Geonosians. While Skywalker and Kenobi led the clone troopers against the B1 battle droids as a diversionary tactic, Master Tohno infiltrated the facility by way of an underground passage littered with Mandalorian armor.
As it turned out, there was no way that Tohno would have been able to complete the mission without sacrificing herself. Anakin Skywalker was unwilling to accept this and called in a support aerial assault. Tohno, however, resigned herself to her fate and planted charges that destroyed the weapons factory. She died in the explosion.
