Tobias Whale is a fictional crime boss and a recurring antagonist featured in comic books published by DC Comics. He was first introduced in a cameo appearance in Black Lightning #1 in April, 1977. He made his first full appearance in Black Lightning #2 in May, 1977. A slightly-less repugnant-looking version of the character appeared on the CW Network television series Black Lightning, where he was played by actor Marvin "Krondon" Jones, III. This version of The Whale first appeared in the pilot episode of the series, "The Resurrection".
