The Time Tunnel is an American live-action television series that aired on ABC from September of 1966 to April of 1967, spanning one season and a total of thirty episodes. The series was created by Irwin Allen and produced by his production company Irwin Allen Productions as well as Kent Productions and Twentieth Century-Fox. The premise of the series revolved around a top-secret government program to create a time machine, which comes to be known as the "Time Tunnel". Scientists Tony Newman and Doug Phillips are the first to test the experimental tunnel only find themselves skipping throughout various eras of the timestream.
