Thu Thu Hmong is a fictional giant monster featured in media based on the works of American Gothic horror writer H.P. Lovecraft. He appeared in the Howard Lovecraft and the Frozen Kingdom comic book limited series published by Arcana Studio in 2012.
Biography[]
Thu Thu Hmong was a giant monster from an other-dimensional realm. He had a quasi-humanoid frame, which was accented with various facial tentacles. A young boy named Howard Lovecraft used the Necronomicon to travel to Thu Thu Hmong's realm. Perceiving the child as a servant of a Djinn, he attacked him, but then fell from the edge of an icy precipice. Barely hanging on, he begged Howard to help him up. Howard was reluctant, but Thu Thu Hmong gave his word that if he were to aid him, not only would he not attack him, but he would become his master. Howard helped pull Thu Thu over the edge of the cliff, and the monster kept his word. Unable to pronounce the creature's actual name, Howard decided to give him the pet name of "Spot".
