"Outbreak" is the eleventh episode of the American science fiction television series Threshold. It was directed by Félix Enríquez Alcalá and written by series producer Dan O'Shannon. It was originally scheduled to be aired in early 2006 on CBS, but the network cancelled the series and the last four episodes of what would have been season one went unaired. Sky1 in the United Kingdom picked up the series and the episode aired on Wednesday, January 18th, 2006. In this episode, Lucas Pegg becomes infected with alien DNA after eating a tainted dinner salad. Molly Caffrey enlists the aid of botanist Daphne Larson and they struggle to examine everything that Lucas ate and learn about an infectious outbreak being spread through produce. Meanwhile, Ed Whittaker and J.T. Baylock argue with one another over Andrea Hatton's successor.
