"At Death Do We Part" is the 307th issue of the first Thor comic book series under it's current title and the 432nd issue of the series overall. This double-sized special includes two stories. The first story is written by Tom DeFalco and co-plotted by Ron Frenz. Frenz also provided the pencil layouts and cover art illustration. Al Milgrom executed the finished art and inks while Joe Sinnott inked the cover. The issue was colored by Mike Rockwitz and lettered by Chris Eliopoulos. It was edited by Ralph Macchio. The second story, "The Stone Men from Saturn!", is a reprint of the first appearance of Thor from Journey Into Mystery #83. Notes & Trivia[]
- This issue is a giant-size special celebrating the (supposed) 350th appearance of Thor. This is actually quite inacurrate, but the statement is intended to reflect all of Thor's appearances headlining not only the 307 issues of this series under it's current title, but also the 42 issues of Journey Into Mystery, in which Thor was the spotlight character. It does not however, take into account all of his appearances in The Avengers, or any of his other numerous guest appearances in other titles.
- The second story in this issue reprints the first appearance of Thor and Don Blake from Journey Into Mystery #83.
- This issue is the first appearance of Eric Masterson as Thor. He will retain the title, taking over the spotlight feature role in the series until Thor #459, at which point he will branch off into his own series as Thunderstrike.
