Synopsis[]
Continuing his fight against the Destroyer on a Manhattan dock, Thor is but moments away from turning back into Donald Blake. He musters enough will to summon Mjolnir back to his hands, freeing it from the grip of the Destroyer. The two continue to fight one another and knock each other into the river. When they surface, Thor delivers a mighty blow against the Destroyer, incapactiating it. With the Destroyer defeated, the spiritual essence of Doctor Clement Holmes leaves the Destroyer's shell and returns to his body.
Hercules is present and wants to celebrate Thor's victory, but Thor elects instead to return to the hospital to check on Krista.
Meanwhile, a cosmic being known as Firelord zips across the Milky Way before finally arriving on Earth. He goes to the hospital and startles the staff. Those who try to stop him are rebuffed by the flames given off by Firelord's staff.
Hercules encounters Firelord and the two immediately come to blows. Donald Blake attempts to intercede, but he is pushed back against the window, his walking stick falling out and down to the street below, thus preventing Blake from turning into Thor. The battle between Hercules and Firelord rages on as Blake rushes down to the street to recover his walking stick.
Transforming back into Thor, he demands to know who Firelord is, and why he is here. Firelord tells him that Thor is the reason he came to this world. Harnessing the Power Cosmic, he projects an energy beacon into the depths of space summoning his master - Galactus.
