Biography[]
Thompson was a Weapons Officer aboard the Commonwealth starship Andromeda Ascendant. In the year CY 9784, Commander Gaheris Rhade and Captain Dylan Hunt put the crew of the ship through an emergency operations drill. Thompson was late for the drill and Rhade eyed him as he was rushing down the corridor fastening his belt buckle. His tardiness made him neglect to operate the secondary battery, forcing the ship's automated systems to do it themselves.
Immediately thereafter, Andromeda received a stellar alert originating from the Hephaistos System. The crew of Andromeda responded, but when they arrived at the location, they found a fleet of Nietzschean warships perched on the perimeter of a black hole. The Andromeda was a prime target for the ambush and the thousands of Nietzschean ships quickly eradicated what had been years of peace between them and the Commonwealth. Thompson was killed when a Nietzschean ship opened fire on the Andromeda, destroying the weapons station. [1]
