Thomas Ewing is a fictional comic book supervillain who goes by the code name of Firefly. He appears in titles published by Marvel Comics. Firefly debuted in Nova #10 in 1977.
Biography[]
Firefly attacked the Westhaven Nuclear Generating Research Station on the bank of the Hudson River. He set the facility ablaze and members of the NYFD were unable to contain the fire without the use of chemical bombs. Firefly fought up against Nova at this time and trained his weapons on him, but Nova avoided them by diving out of the way with his rocket power. He scooped Firefly up and flew him out of the building where he tossed him into a lake, which rendered his equipment temporarily useless.
