Notes & Trivia[]
- The Thing, and all related concepts are based on ideas originally presented by author John W. Campbell in the short story "Who Goes There", which was first published in the August, 1938 edition of Astounding Science Fiction magazine. The idea was expanded upon by directors Christian Nyby & Howard Hawks for the 1951 film The Thing from Another World and again by director John Carpenter in his 1982 horror remake, titled The Thing.
- The inset cover illustration is taken from The Thing from Another World #1 by artist John Higgins.
