The thin man is a fictional cultist and murderer and a minor antagonist featured in the The Conjuring film series. Played by actor Trampas Thompson, he appeared in the 2014 feature film Annabelle.
Biography[]
Little is known about this individual save that he was an adult male in the mid 1960s and was a cultist operating out of the California area. He was associated with the Disciples of the Ram. Sometime around 1965, he met another cult member named Annabelle Higgins and the two became lovers.
In October of 1967, Annabelle and the thin man returned to Annabelle's foster home in Santa Monica. They broke into the house late at night and they murdered her foster parents, Peter and Sharon Higgins. It is unknown if the thin man murdered both of the Higgins by himself or if Annabelle killed one as well.
Immediately after, they broke into the residence at 307 Gardner Road, which was owned by John and Mia Form. The thin man attacked Mia, stabbing the pregnant woman in her side. While John fought with the thin man, Annabelle sneaked into the nursery and acquired the Annabelle doll that once haunted her in her youth.
Mia had called the police, who showed up right in the nick of time. They shot the thin man dead before he could cause any more mayhem. Before they were able to take her, Annabelle Higgins took her own life by drawing a knife across her throat.

- Another member of the Disciples of the Ram is Isla Kastner, who is a witch who will go on to plague Ed and Lorraine Warren in 1981.
- As a member of the Disciples of the Ram, the thin man was a Satanist who labored in service to the Earl of Hell known as Malthus.
- The thin man is the first character to die in Annabelle.
