Thermokinesis is a super-power. It is an application of pyrokinesis, which involves the ability to generate, control and project thermal energy. This may also include the power to alter the temperature of a given environment, increasing thermal activity in the surrounding area. In short, people with this ability can bring the heat! And if you can't stand the heat... blah, blah, blah. You know how it goes.
On the 1980s cartoon series Spider-Man and His Amazing Friends, the superhero known as Firestar possessed this ability. In addition to projecting bolts of concentrated heat, Firestar could also generate thermal updrafts, enabling her to fly.
There are also items that can grant individuals the ability to generate thermal energy. Robotman of the Doom Patrol has heat coils with the plating on his palms that enable him to melt dense material through physical contact.
