Themyscira is a fictional island city-state featured in comic books published by DC Comics. It is one of the principal settings featured in the Wonder Woman family of comic book titles. This iteration of the location is inspired by the Golden Age locale known as Paradise Island. It was re-imagined for the modern age as Themyscira in the first issue of the Wonder Woman reboot series in 1987.
