The X-Files: I Want to Believe is an American feature film of the science fiction and horror genres. It is based on the popular FOX Network television series The X-Files, and is the second feature film in the series following 1998's The X-Files: Fight the Future. The movie was written and directed by franchise creator Chris Carter and co-written by Frank Spotnitz. It was produced by Ten Thirteen Productions and distributed through Twentieth Century Fox Film Corporation. It premiered in the United States on July 25th, 2008.
