"Darkness Falls" is the twentieth episode of season one of the science fiction crime drama series The X-Files and the twentieth episode of the series overall. It was directed by Joe Napolitano and written by Chris Carter. It first aired on the FOX Network on Friday, April 15th, 1994. The series stars David Duchovny as F.B.I. agent Fox Mulder and Gillian Anderson as his partner, Agent Dana Scully.
