"Død Kalm" is the nineteenth episode of season two of The X-Files and is the forty-third episode in the series overall. The episode was directed by Rob Bowman and written by Howard Gordon and Alex Gansa. It first aired on the Fox Network on Friday, March 10th, 1995. In this episode, Mulder and Scully discover that survivors of a US Naval ship are experiencing symptoms of accelerated aging. As they investigate the dark freighter, they learn to their horror that they too are now experiencing the ravages of advanced age and may soon die.
