Notes[]
- The Gifted was created by Matt Nix based on characters featured in Marvel Comics titles originally developed by Stan Lee and Jack Kirby.
- The title of this episode relates to the military phrase "Got you six", which is another way of saying "I've got your back", meaning that one combatant is looking out for the other. It also relates to the fact that this is the sixth episode of the series.
- Actor Justin Matthew Smith is credited as Justin Smith in this episode.
- The flashback scene with Thunderbird and Pulse takes place in 2013.
- This is the first appearance of Wes, who is a mutant who has the ability to alter perceptions. Lauren Strucker is able to dispel his illusions however.
- The vehicle that Reed and Andy take to the Federal building is called Claremont Interstate Moving. This may be named after Chris Claremont who was a longtime writer on both the X-Men and New Mutants series of comic book titles.
- Reference is made to the X-Men in this episode. Little is known about the X-Men in this reality other than that they were a group of mutants responsible for the creation of the Mutant Underground. They disappeared some time ago under mysterious circumstances.
- This is the third appearance of Roderick Campbell. He appeared last in "eXodus".
- Caitlin Strucker takes great umbrage when people throw saw blades at her daughter.
Quotes[]
- Dreamer: The X-Men said a war is coming.
- John Proudstar: They didn't say we'd win.
