The Boys is an American live-action television series of the superhero fantasy genre. It is based on The Boys family of comic book titles published by DC Comics under their WildStorm Productions imprint, and later by Dynamite Entertainment. The series was developed for television by Eric Kripke. It was produced by Amazon Studios, Original Film, Point Grey Pictures and Sony Pictures Television, and premiered as an Amazon Original on July 26th, 2019. Season two of the series dropped on September 4th, 2020.

- The Boys was created by writer Garth Ennis and artists Darick Robertson & Tony Aviña. They were introduced in the first issue of The Boys ongoing comic book series published by DC Comics under their WildStorm Productions imprint. Following issue #6, publication of the series transferred over to Dynamite Entertainment, who completed the run for a seventy-two issue count.
- The tagline for the series is "Never Meet Your Heroes".
- Whereas season one of the show premiered all episode on a single date, season two staggered their release schedule throughout September-October, 2020.
