Terri is a fictional homeless woman turned demonic agent and a supporting character featured in Hellraiser film series. Played by actress Paula Marshall, she appeared in the 1992 sequel film Hellraiser III: Hell on Earth.

Biography[]

Terri was a young woman from New York, who suffered the curious malady in that she was unable to dream. She was down on her luck to the point of homelessness and fell in with an attractive, ambitious man named J.P. Monroe. Terri was frequently seen at J.P.'s night club, the Boiler Room.

Terri's association with J.P. and the Boiler Room brought her into contact with the mysterious Lemarchand puzzle box. This in turn, led to Terri meeting an investigative reporter named Joey Summerskill, who was studying a bizarre death that was somehow linked to the box. J.P. had acquired the Pillar of Souls, which contained the trapped essence of the demonic Lead Cenobite known as Pinhead. Terri got into a fight with J.P. and knocked him unconscious, at which point, the Lead Cenobite reached out to her, promsing her the ability to dream if she but freed him from captivity. Terri did so, and Pinhead transformed Terri into one of his pseudo-cenobites. She became known as the "Dreamer". J.P. was likewise transmogrified into a neo-Cenobite and became Pistonhead.

Dreamer and Pistonhead followed Joey to the construction site when Pinhead released the pseudos Barbie, Pistonhead, Camerahead and CD. There she and Pistonhead started to "play" with Joey- Dreamer burning holes in her with cigarettes- when Pinhead arrived. He gave the command to transform her into a cenobite, but Joey instead unlocked the Lament Configuration and sent all the cenobites, minus Pinhead, back to Hell. Dreamer has never been seen again after her descent to Hell, making her fate unknown. It is believed that she was made into a "true" cenobite by Leviathan after entering Hell.
