"Restraint" is the seventh episode of season two of of the American teen horror/drama Teen Wolf and the nineteenth episode of the series overall. The episode was directed by Russell Mulcahy and written by Nick Antosca and Ned Vizzini. It first aired on MTV on Monday, July 9th, 2012. In this episode, Jackson Whittemore's father files a restraining order against Scott and Stiles. Jackson continues to suffer strange side effects of being the kanima and even consumes a live snake from the biology lab. Derek struggles to maintain control over his new pack, while also trying to figure a way to defeat the kanima. Scott's mom finds condoms in her son's room and has an uncomfortable discussion with Victoria Argent. Lydia's hallucinations become even more intense and she experiences a dream-like encounter with the rotted corpse of Peter Hale.
