Synopsis[]
While on monitor duty, Speedy picks up an alert about a giant-robot that is threatening the shoreline. He summons his allies in the Teen Titans, and Aqualad, Kid Flash, and Wonder Girl answer the call. They take their aircraft to the location an engage the Monster Machine. They track the robot back to a small space vessel, and they determine that it might be an advance scout for a possible invasion fleet. The computer system of the vessel sends more robots out to fight the Teen Titans. Aqualad counters their efforts from the sea, Wonder Girl deflects their attacks in the sky, and Speedy and Kid Flash take care of the ones on land. They fight the Monster Machine within its ship, which ultimately causes the vessel to explode.

Notes & Trivia[]
- The Teen Titans were created by writer Bob Haney and artist Bruno Premiani. They first appeared in The Brave and the Bold, Volume 1 #54 in June-July, 1964. The original team line-up consisted of Robin, Kid Flash and Aqualad.
- This is the first vignette in the Teen Titans series.
- This episode aired in between the "The Onslaught of the Octomen" and "Treacherous is the Torpedoman" episodes of Aquaman.
- Hal Sutherland is credited as the director of all three vignettes from episode 1x07 of Superman/Aquaman Hour of Adventure at the end of the episode.
- This episode marks the television debut of the characters of Speedy and Wonder Girl.
- Robin does not appear as a member of the Teen Titans in this episode.
- Although the Teen Titans fly in a helicopter-jet in this episode, this vehicle is not the same as the T-Jet, which the comic book version of the team uses in their early adventures.
- Speedy is the only human that appears in this episode (Kid Flash would technically qualify as an altered human).
- It is possible that the octopus that Aqualad summons could be Topo, who is a frequent ally of Aqualad and his mentor Aquaman, but lets face it, all of these octopuses look the same, don't they?
Bloopers[]
- Speedy has a line of dialogue which makes reference to a fish. This was likely a line intended for Aqualad.
Quotes[]
- Speedy: Holy Haddocks! This thing is a giant space ship!
Home Video[]
- This episode is included on disc two of the DC Super Heroes: The Filmation Adventures DVD collection. It was produced by Warner Home Video and released in Region 1 format on August 12th, 2008.
