Overview[]
The Teen Brigade began as a group of teenagers founded by Rick Jones who, at the time, had appointed himself as the official sidekick to the Hulk. Rick brought the group together to aid the Hulk against the alien Molyb, aka, the Metal Master who was bent on global conquest, beginning with Washington, D.C.. [1]
Rick and the Teen Brigade kept a close eye on the Hulk's actions after that. Not long after, the Asgardian God of Mischief, Loki, used his powers to manipulate the Hulk into tearing up a section of railroad tracks, making it appear as if he was an immediate threat to mankind. Rick and the Teen Brigade contacted several superheroes to investigate the matter including, Ant-Man, the Wasp, Iron Man and Loki's half-brother, Thor. After Loki was defeated, the group (including the Hulk) decided to band together as a team. It could be said that the Teen Brigade are largely responsible for the creation of Earth's mightiest heroes - the Avengers. [2]
The Teen Brigade was reformed many years later, this time incorporating super-powered individuals into its ranks. It was founded by Ultimate Nullifier and included America Chavez - the new Miss America as well as former New X-Men, Angel Salvador and Barnell Bohusk. [3]
