Ted Garza is a fictional character and a minor antagonist featured in the Insidious film series. He appeared in the 2018 feature film Insidious: The Last Key, which is the fourth and final installment in the series. He was played by actor Kirk Acevedo in the film.
Biography[]
Ted Garza dumped his entire life savings into purchasing the abandoned home at 414 Appletree Road in Five Keys, New Mexico. Soon after doing so, he became corrupted by the evil forces that existed in that house, and served as a meat puppet to the Keyface demon. Guided by Keyface, he contacted the house's original inhabitant, Elise Rainier, who was a powerful psychic who was the living "last key" towards opening all of the doors into the interdimensional space dubbed The Further.
Elise arrived at the house with her partners Steven "Specs" Fisher and Tucker Croft. As they investigated the house for paranormal activity, they disovered that Ted had emulated the actions of Elise's father, Gerald Rainier, and began kidnapping young women. They freed a woman named Mara Jennings, at which point, Ted pulled a gun on them. While Tucker safeguarded Elise, Specs killed Ted Garza by dropping a bookshelf on top him, crushing his head.
