Tarzan is an American comic book series of the jungle adventure genre. It is based on the character of John Clayton, aka Tarzan, as seen in the works by author Edgar Rice Burroughs. This inaugural was published by Dell, and ran for 131 issues on a bi-monthly schedule from 1948 to 1962, making it the longest running series based on the character to date.
