Biography[]
Taras Romanoff was a spy for the Russian government in the 1920s and 1930s. In 1928, a man named Ivan Petrovich rescued an infant girl named Natasha, whose mother had been killed. Ivan gave the baby to Taras to raise, and she was given the surname, Romanova. Taras raised Natasha Romanoff and trained her in the ways of the assassin. By 1938, an American spy named Logan had formed an alliance with Taras, and even extended Natasha's physical training by showing the forms of Japanese martial arts and discipline. Logan traveled with Taras for two years. What Taras didn't know was that Logan was instructed to infiltrate Taras' spy network, and ultimately assassinate him. Logan completed his mission in 1940 by shooting Taras in the back. [2][3]
