Tara Heyes is a fictional partier and murder victim and one of the main characters featured in the 2016 independent film Terrifier. She was played by actress Jenna Kanell.
Biography[]
Tara Heyes and her friend Dawn Emerson attended a Halloween party, in which they became extremely intoxicated. Leaving the party, Dawn insisted on driving home, but Tara wouldn't let her. As they argued, they took note of a bizarre clown in black and white makeup known as Art standing in the street holding a garbage bag. Tara nervously tried to walk away, and the clown mysteriously disappeared. They stopped at a pizzeria to get some food, and Art followed them inside. He then went to a gumball machine and got a costume ring, which he then gave to Tara. Tara was perpetually disturbed by the silent man's antics, but Dawn was drunkenly amused, and even took a selfie with Art.
As they left, they went to Dawn's car, only to find that the tires had been slashed. Tara telephoned her sister, Vicky, and asked her to come pick them up. While waiting for her sister, Tara went into a derelict apartment building in search of a restroom. She encountered a pest control specialist named Mike, and a strange resident known as the Cat Lady.
Tara is captured by Art the Clown.
Tara quickly found herself locked inside the empty complex. Art the Clown, now revealing himself to be a sadistic serial killer, attacked her. Tara attempted to escape in a parking lot, but Art stabbed her in the leg. He then injected her with a syringe that rendered her unconscious.
When Tara awakened, she found herself bound and gagged to a chair. Art silently danced around her, pulling back a curtain to reveal her friend Dawn, who was suspended naked and upside down from an apparatus. Tara was forced to helplessly watch as Art slowly sawed Dawn in two from groin to head with a hacksaw. Tara eventually freed herself and attacked Art with a plank of wood. Art brandished a small pistol and shot Tara in the leg. She tried to crawl away, but Art fired a second shot, which went through her cheek. He then fired several more shots into her face until she was dead.

- Tara Heyes is the fifth character to be killed in Terrifier (4th chronologically). She is the fourth victim of Art the Clown, and his second female victim. She is one of two characters to be shot in the head, the other being Art himself.
- Tara's Halloween costume was that of a skeleton.
- Actress Jenna Kanell is also known for playing Kim Hines in the 2017 film The Bye Bye Man.
