"Betrayed by the Ants!!" is the title to the first story featured in issue #38 of the Tales to Astonish comic book anthology series published by Marvel Comics. The story was plotted by Stan Lee and scripted by Larry Lieber. It was drawn by Jack Kirby with inks by Dick Ayers. Coloring was by Stan Goldberg and it was lettered by Johnny Dee. The second feature is an illustrated text story called "Strange Mission". The author is unknown, but the spot illustrations were rendered by Joe Maneely. The next story is a science fiction feature called "I Found the Impossible World!" Lee & Lieber and artist Don Heck. This is followed by "Secret of the Statues!" by Stan Lee and artist & inker Steve Ditko. All stories were edited by Stan Lee. This issue shipped with a December, 1962 cover date and carries a cover price of .12 cents per copy.

- The character of Hank Pym was created by writers Stan Lee & Larry Lieber and artist Jack Kirby. He first appeared in "The Man in the Ant-Hill!" story featured in Tales to Astonish #27 in January, 1962. He first became Ant-Man in Tales to Astonish #35 in "Return of the Ant-Man" in September, 1962.
