"Where Walk the Immortals!" is the first of two eleven page stories featured in Tales to Astonish, Volume 1. The issue was edited by Editor-in-Chief Stan Lee and features a cover illustrated by Marie Severin, Jack Kirby and inkers Frank Giacoia and Syd Shores. The issue shipped with a March, 1968 cover date and had a cover price of 12 cents per copy (US).
"Where Walks the Immortals!" is a Hulk story written by Stan Lee with artwork by Marie Severin and Frank Giacoia. It was possibly colored by Severin as well, though no color credits are provided for this issue. It was lettered by Sam Rosen.
The second tale, "...And Evil Shall Beckon!", is a Sub-Mariner story written by Archie Goodwin. It is illustrated by Gene Colan with inks by Dan Adkins. It is lettered by Artie Simek and the colorist is unknown.

- Sam Rosen provided the cover lettering for this issue, but is uncredited.
- The figure of the Hulk on the cover to this issue was illustrated by Marie Severin and Frank Giacoia. The rest of the cover was illustrated by Jack Kirby and Syd Shores.
- Sub-Mariner chronologically appears next in Iron Man and Sub-Mariner #1 before branching off into his own series with Sub-Mariner #1.
- Reference is made to Oldar the Oracle in this issue. Oldar makes her first appearance in Incredible Hulk, Volume 2 #102.
