The Talbot estate, also known as just Talbot Castle, was an ancestral residence featured in the Universal Monsters film series. It made a single appearance in the 1941 feature film The Wolf Man.
Description[]
Talbot Castle was the ancestral home of Sir John Talbot and his family. Following the death of his first son, John Talbot left the estate to his youngest son, Larry, who had been estranged from his family for more than eighteen years. Sir John converted the attic of the mansion into an observatory and installed a telescope. It was through this telescope that Larry learned about and became enamored with a villager named Gwen Conliffe. It was also here that Larry Talbot turned into a werewolf for the very first time after being infected with the curse of Lycanthropy.

Notes[]
- It can be assumed that Martin and Elizabeth Talbot were residents of Talbot Castle. There is no direct information to indicate this, but as they are buried in the Talbot family crypt, it is a reasonable assumption to make.
- Other notable locations featured in The Wolf Man and related material includes the Talbot family crypt, the Gypsy camp, and Charles Confliffe Antiques.
- The name "Talbot Castle" is actually the first lines of dialogue from The Wolf Man. They were spoken by Larry Talbot's chauffeur.
