T'Chaka is a fictional leader and warrior featured in comic books published by Marvel Comics. He is considered part of the mainstream Marvel Universe and first appeared in flashback in Fantastic Four, Volume 1 #53 in August, 1966. The character's death takes place prior to his introduction and he has only ever appeared in flashback.
Overview[]
T'Chaka was the chieftain of the people of the sovereign nation of Wakanda and upheld the mantle of the Black Panther. After he was murdered by Ulysses Klaw, the mantle was passed down to his son, T'Challa.
Powers[]
Under normal circumstances, T'Chaka did not possess any superhuman capabilities. Upon imbibing a special herb however, he developed enhanced physical attributes, which he utilized while upholding the mantle of the Black Panther.
