Synopsis[]

Swamp Thing must rescue Abby and Matt Cable from Zachary Nail, an old foe of Dr. Thirteen's, and from mutant worms under his command (or so he thinks). He also discovers four human captives: Jefferson Bolt, Ruth, Luke, and the brain-damaged former sheriff Kain. Ruth is killed, infuriating her lover Bolt. The worms turn against Nail, so he destroys his underwater compound along with himself and the worms. The humans escape, but Swamp Thing is suddenly transported to the distant past.
