Surgeon X is an American comic book series of the action and crime thriller genres. It was published by Image Comics and first released in September, 2016. The series was written by Sara Kenney with artwork by John Watkiss, who also provided the cover art compositions for this series. It was colored by James Devlin with lettering by Jared K. Fletcher. The series was edited by Karen Berger.
The series features the character of Rosa Scott - a surgeon living in a dystopic near future, who becomes a renegade black market operator, using illicit means, tools and methods to perform emergency surgeries upon the needy. Extreme times call for extreme medicine.
