A Superman robot is a fictional item featured in comic books published by DC Comics. It is associated with the Superman family of titles and is an effigy of the Kryptonian born superhero, Kal-El, aka Superman. Superman robots are created either by Superman himself, or by his Kryptonian service robots and are stored at his Fortress of Solitude. They serve a variety of purposes, but are most commonly used in place of Superman in times when Clark Kent and Superman must appear in the same place at the same time. They are also ideal at provided additional support as needed, sometimes operating merely as decoys.
