Synopsis[]
Returning to Earth, Superman quickly thwarts an alien invasion by decimating the Dominator Armada. He rejoins his fellow members in the Justice League and surveys the ruins of the Fortress of Solitude. Undeterred, Superman takes a piece of sunstone crystal and flies out to the Bermuda Triangle where he erects a new fortress.
Superman tries to catch up on work at the Daily Planet, but receives a telepathic summons from J'onn J'onzz. Superman flies out and has a meeting with J'onn, who encourages him to take on a leadership role with regards to Earth's relations with the greater galactic community. Superman is distracted however, and intermittently disrupts the conversation by zipping off to avert one crisis after another.
Through the course of events, Superman comes upon a startling and terrifying realization. The entire planet Earth has been shunted into the Phantom Zone.
