Superman #1 is the premiere issue of the first Superman ongoing comic book series published by DC Comics. This 64-page volume features the character of Superman, who had made his splash debut a year earlier in Action Comics #1. This issue includes five full-length Superman tales as a well as a two-page origin story that serves as the preamble to this issue. All stories were written by Jerome Siegel with artwork by Joe Shuster. The cover art illustration was composed by Leo O'Mealia. It was edited by Vin Sullivan. This issue shipped in June, 1939 and carries a cover price of 10 cents per copy.
