Superhuman stamina represents an individual's ability to exert themselves and remain active for a long period of time, as well as its ability to resist, withstand, recover from, and have immunity to trauma, wounds, or fatigue. This ability goes beyond a normal human being's ability to endure such circumstances and is usually found within extraterrestrials, mutants, genetic anomalies or subjects of scientific experimentation. The applications of superhuman stamina are similar to that of superhuman durability, but has more to do with prolonged exposure to external stimuli whereas durability measures an individual's ability to withstand physical impact.
The DC Comics character Superman is a prime example of someone with superhuman stamina. He can operate at peak efficiency for a duration far in excess of that of a normal human. In Marvel Comics, such an ability can be found in characters such as the Hulk, Captain America and the Thing.
