Superhuman equilibrium refers to an organism's ability to adapt and adjust to competing extremes of motion and sometimes even pressure. A person with the ability can balance all of these external factors so as to always maintain a regulated sense of pressure and balance. In other words, you won't get dizzy on a roller coaster.
Some species of animal and even aliens or other terrestrial-based races possess superhuman equilibrium as part of their race's natural biology. Nearly all aquatic-based life forms possess this ability including Atlanteans, Nautolans, Aqualish and even Snorks!
A prime example of an individual who possesses superhuman equilibrium is the comic book superhero Spider-Man. Spider-Man routinely flips, hops, jumps and swings through the air and is always cognizant of his spatial relationships. This is aided in part by his inate premonition abilities, or spider-sense, which keeps him always attuned to the presence of potentially harmful approaching objects.
There are normal humans who also possess a heightened equilibrium, though there is nothing superhuman about it. This trait can come naturally to a person, but may also be developed through extensive training. Astronauts and Air Force pilots possess this skill.
