Supergirl is an American ongoing comic book series published by DC Comics. It features the eponymous super-hero known as Supergirl, whose real name is Kara Zor-El. The series ran from November 1972 to October 1974, spanning a total of ten issues. This is the first comic book series to spotlight the character of Supergirl in her own named title. Supergirl previously had a stint in the pages of Adventure Comics up until issue #424. Following the discontinuation of this series, she was featured in her own serial in Superman Family.
