"The Bride of Bizarro (Part 1)" is the first episode of season three of the superhero fantasy series The Adventures of Superboy and the fifty-third episode of the series overall. It was directed by David Grossman with a story by Michael Carlin and Andrew Helfer. It first aired in first run syndication on Saturday, October 6th, 1990.

- The character of Superboy was created by writer Jerry Siegel and artist Joe Shuster. He first appeared in the third story in issue #101 of More Fun Comics in January, 1945 titled "The Origin of Superboy".
- This episode was filmed in Orlando, Florida.
- This is the first episode of season three. Beginning with this season, the title changes from Superboy to The Adventures of Superboy. New title cards are used for this season.
- Actor Ilan Mitchell-Smith departed the series as a regular cast member and is now replaced with Peter Jay Fernandez as Matt Ritter, and Robert Levine as newspaper editor, C. Dennis Jackson.
- This is the first appearance of the Bureau of Extra-Normal Matters. In DC Comics continuity, a similar organization will be established called the Department of Extranormal Operations (DEO), which will serve as the backbone for the Supergirl series in the late 2010s.
- Actress Stacy Haiduk begins sporting a new haircut beginning with this episode.
