Super-leaping is an application of superhuman strength and represents the ability to leap great distances from a standing position. Depending upon the strength level of the individual, super-leaping could simulate the effects of flying, although the one leaping is not actually defying the laws of gravity.
The original Golden Age comic book superhero Superman could jump 1/8th of a mile and was often described as being able to, "leap tall buildings in a single bound". Another comic book "jumper" is Marvel Comics' Incredible Hulk, who often took giant, unending leaps as a means of travel. This was actually the Hulk's most frequently used and preferred means of travel; mostly because he could conduct his leaps unimpeded by "puny humans".
The Japanese daikaiju monster Baragon could jump an impressive distance - much farther than his prodigious size would suggest.
