Sunset Boulevard is a boulevard in the central and western part of Los Angeles, California, that stretches from the Pacific Coast Highway in Pacific Palisades east to Figueroa Street in Downtown Los Angeles. It is a major thoroughfare in the cities of Beverly Hills and West Hollywood (including a portion known as the Sunset Strip), as well as several districts in Los Angeles.
Aeons ago, the mountaintop homeland of an ancient cosmic race was cleft from its own planet by alien conquerors and sailed through space, eventually burying itself in a region of North America that would one day become Southern California. In 1976, this mountain peak rose to the surface, and broke through the middle of Sunset Boulevard. Johnny Blaze, the Ghost Rider, was present to witness such an event. The growing mountain in the middle of the city attracted the attention of other supernatural beings as well, including Michael Morbius, werewolf Jack Russell, and even the Man-Thing. [1]
