The subway rocket is a fictional vehicle featured in comic books published by DC Comics. It relates to the Batman line of titles.
The subway rocket was one of the many vehicles employed by the Batman in his never-ending war on crime. It was not a rocket in the truest sense, but rather more like a miniature bullet train, that ran from the Batcave into the heart of Gotham City via an underground railroad system. It had connection junctions at Park Row Station and Victoria Station.
Alfred Pennyworth was skilled in driving the subway rocket and used it to pick up Tim Drake and return him to the Batcave so he could work on resolving some riddles left behind by the Riddler.
Notes[]
- The subway rocket is a modern day successor to the Bat-Train, which was an above-ground train with a bat-face design on the front. This vehicle first appeared in Batman #95 in October, 1955 in a story titled "The Ballad of Batman".
