Under normal conditions, Streaky possessed no superhuman abilities at all. When he exposed to X-Kryptonite however, he gained the following.
- Flight
- Enhanced strength
- Enhanced vision
- Super-Speed
- The New Earth counterpart to Streaky was an ordinary house cat and never developed any super-powers. He earned his name however due to his tendency to spray on all of the walls and furniture in Supergirl's apartment.

- The character of Streaky was created by writer Otto Binder and artist Jim Mooney.
- Not to be confused with Streak, a non-powered canine who adventured with Alan Scott during the 1940s.
- The New Earth counterpart to Streaky was the pet of Kara Zor-El, aka Supergirl and first appeared in Supergirl, Volume 5 #10. This version of the character was created by writer Joe Kelly and artist Ian Churchill.
- Streaky's final Earth-One appearance was in Adventure Comics #394.
- There have also been versions of Streaky that have appeared in the Supergirl: Cosmic Adventures in the 8th Grade comic series and the Tiny Titans comic series, both of which are published under DC's "Johnny DC" imprint and are aimed at younger readers.
- Streaky made his first animated appearance in the 2005 Cartoon Network animated series Krypto the Superdog.
