"The Day of the Druid!" is the title to the first story featured in issue #144 of the superhero fantasy anthology series Strange Tales. The story was written by Stan Lee with Jack Kirby as co-plotter. It was inked by Mike Esposito, colored by Stan Goldberg and lettered by Sam Rosen. This story highlights the character of Nick Fury and the agents of the S.H.I.E.L.D. super-spy organization.

The second feature in this issue, "Where Man Hath Never Trod!" is a ten-page Doctor Strange vignette plotted by Steve Ditko with Roy Thomas providing additional dialogue. Ditko also provided the layout and final embellishment for this story. It was colored by Stan Goldberg and lettered by Artie Simek.

The cover art for this issue was composed by Jack Kirby with Mike Esposito on inks, coloring by Stan Goldberg and lettering by Sam Rosen. Both of the interior stories were edited by Stan Lee. This issue shipped with a May, 1966 cover date and carries a cover price of 12 cents per copy (US).
