"Fighting to the Death with the Asbestos Man!" is the title to the first story featured in the 111the issue of the first Strange Tales ongoing comic book series published by Marvel Comics. It was written by H. Huntley and plotted by Stan Lee with artwork and inks by Dick Ayers. It was lettered by Sam Harold. The second story is called "Beware -- The Machine!!!" and is written by Larry Lieber with Stan Lee, and illustrated by Lieber and Matt Fox. It is lettered by Art Simek. The third story is "Face-to-Face with the Magic of Baron Mordo!" by Stan Lee & Steve Ditko with lettering by Terry Szenics. All stories were edited by Stan Lee. This issue shipped with an August, 1963 cover date and carries a cover price of .12 cents per copy.

- The character of Johnny Storm, aka the Human Torch, was created by writer Stan Lee and artist Jack Kirby. They first appeared in Fantastic Four, Volume 1 #1 in November, 1961.
- Doctor Stephen Strange was created by writer Stan Lee and artist Steve Ditko. He first appeared in the third story from Strange Tales, Volume 1 #110 in July, 1963 titled "Dr. Strange - Master of Black Magic".
